Second, the wear resistance of epoxy powder-coated steel pipes

1. Compared with traditional steel pipes, epoxy powder-coated steel pipes have superior wear resistance. Because the surface of the inner plastic-coated steel pipe has been specially treated, it has good wear resistance and can effectively resist the erosion of chemical substances such as acids, alkalis, and salts, and prolongs its service life.

Third, epoxy powder coated steel pipe anti-corrosion layer thickness standard

The thickness of the anti-corrosion layer of epoxy powder-coated steel pipes is mainly stipulated by the national standard "General Technical Conditions for Buried Steel Pipes" (GB/T 17306-1998). According to this standard, the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer should meet the following requirements:

1. For ordinary-level anti-corrosion layers, such as polyethylene (PE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and chlorinated polyethylene (PVC), the minimum thickness should be 0.7mm; for reinforced-level anti-corrosion layers, such as glass fiber For reinforced polyethylene (FRP), epoxy coal pitch (API) and epoxy ceramic (EPO), the minimum thickness should be 1.2mm.

2. In practical applications, due to the influence of factors such as the topography of the pipeline, soil type, groundwater level, etc., the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer needs to be adjusted according to specific conditions. Generally speaking, the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer should be clearly specified in the design documents.


Fourth, factors affecting the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer of epoxy powder-coated steel pipes

1. Environmental factors: Environmental temperature, humidity, soil pH, salinity, and other factors will affect the anti-corrosion effect of internal and external plastic-coated carbon steel pipes, thereby affecting the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer. Generally speaking, the worse the environmental factors, the greater the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer required.

2. Pipeline operating parameters: The pipeline's transportation pressure, flow rate, temperature, and other parameters will affect the wear degree of the internal and external plastic-coated carbon steel pipes, thereby affecting the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer. Generally speaking, the higher the pipeline operating parameters, the greater the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer required.

3. Pipe laying method: The pipe laying method (such as direct burial, overhead, water pipe, etc.) will affect the contact area between the internal and external plastic-coated carbon steel pipes and the surrounding environment, thereby affecting the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer. Generally speaking, the more complex the laying method, the greater the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer required.

4. Construction quality: The thickness of the anti-corrosion layer of the internal and external plastic-coated carbon steel pipes is greatly affected by the construction quality. If there are missing coatings, thick coatings, etc. during the construction process, the thickness of the anti-corrosion layer will not meet the requirements. Therefore, the construction quality should be strictly controlled during the construction process.
