Processing Technology of Industrial Galvanized Steel Pipes

Pre-treatment of Galvanized Steel Pipes:

Surface Treatment and Cleaning: Lightly grind the surface of the steel pipe to ensure it is free of water, aged layers, oil, and dust. Wipe the surface with a cloth dampened with thinner to remove dirt.

Alkali Washing and Acid Pickling of Galvanized Steel Pipes: For oil stains on some steel pipe surfaces, perform alkaline washing. Use hydrochloric acid or other acids for pickling to remove oxide scale from the steel pipe surface.

Rinsing and Flux Dipping of Galvanized Steel Pipes: Perform two rinsing cycles to remove residual acid and iron salts adhering to the steel pipe surface. Use flux to remove all impurities from the steel pipe surface, ensuring clean contact between the steel pipe and the molten zinc to form a good coating.


Hot-Dip Galvanizing of Galvanized Steel Pipes:

Zincing Preparation: The temperature of the molten zinc in the zinc pot must be strictly controlled at 450±5℃ to ensure the uniformity and quality of the galvanized layer.

Immersion Galvanizing: After drying, the steel pipes are removed one by one via a drying furnace chain, immersed in the furnace roller conveyor, and then transported to the galvanizing furnace, where they are rolled into the galvanizing spiral of the galvanizing machine.

Spiral Galvanizing: The galvanizing spirals have different phases, causing the steel pipes to be inclined on the spiral. As the spiral rotates, the steel pipe moves downwards while forming an inclined angle, then enters the zinc bath and continues to move downwards, ensuring a uniform galvanized layer.

Lifting and Moving: After galvanizing, the steel pipes are lifted onto the magnetic roller surface, attracted, and moved to the pull-out roller conveyor, ready for subsequent processing.


Subsequent Processing of Galvanized Steel Pipes:

Cooling of Galvanized Steel Pipes: Galvanized steel pipes require cooling, usually using tap water for rapid cooling to prevent deformation and ensure the galvanized layer solidifies.

Passivation and Rinsing of Galvanized Steel Pipes: The cooled steel pipes undergo passivation treatment to enhance their corrosion resistance. They are then rinsed again to remove surface residues.

Inspection and Quality Control of Galvanized Steel Pipes: Galvanized steel pipes undergo quality inspection, including checks on galvanized layer thickness, uniformity, and adhesion, to ensure compliance with national standards and customer requirements.


Packaging and Transportation of Galvanized Steel Pipes:

Packaging: Inspected galvanized steel pipes are packaged, typically using rust-proof paper or plastic film to prevent damage during transportation and storage.

Transportation of Galvanized Steel Pipes: Appropriate transportation methods are arranged according to customer needs and order requirements to ensure the steel pipes are delivered safely and promptly to their destination.
