1. ASTM A335 P5 belongs to the American standard ferrite high temperature alloy steel seamless pipe, corresponding to the domestic alloy steel: 1Cr5Mo.
2. The metal structure of 1Cr5Mo is martensite, which has good oxidation resistance at about 650 degrees Celsius, good thermal strength below 600 degrees Celsius, good shock absorption and thermal conductivity, and is widely used in steam turbines.
3. Disadvantages: This type of steel has a greater tendency to harden and poor welding performance. 5-70MM thick can be rolled in the future.
A335 P9 is a high-temperature chromium-molybdenum alloy heat-resistant steel produced according to American standards. Because of its good oxidation resistance, high temperature strength, and sulfide corrosion resistance, it is widely used in high-temperature, high-pressure, flammable, and explosive pipelines in petroleum refining units, especially direct heating pipes in heating furnaces, and the medium temperature can reach 550~600℃.
The domestic similar steel grade is 1Cr9Mo material, and 1Cr9Mo alloy pipe implements GB 9948-2006 "Standard for Seamless Steel Pipes for Petroleum Cracking".
ASTM A335 P5 high-pressure alloy seamless steel pipe belongs to medium alloy heat-resistant steel with good high-temperature hydrogen corrosion resistance.
In the atmospheric and vacuum units processing high-sulfur crude oil, ASTM A335 P5 seamless steel pipe is mainly used for the bottom pipelines of atmospheric towers and vacuum towers, furnace tubes of atmospheric furnaces and vacuum furnaces, high-speed sections of atmospheric and vacuum oil transfer lines, and other high-temperature sulfur-containing oil and gas pipelines.
In catalytic cracking units, ASTM A335 P5 seamless steel pipes are mainly used for high-temperature oil slurry, catalyst and refining pipelines, and other high-temperature sulfur-containing oil and gas pipelines.
In the delayed coking unit, ASTM A335 P5 seamless steel pipe is mainly used for the high-temperature feed pipeline at the bottom of the coke tower and the high-temperature oil and gas pipeline at the top of the tower, the furnace tube of the coking furnace, the bottom pipeline of the fractionation tower, and some other high-temperature sulfur-containing oil and gas pipelines.
ASTM A335 P5 seamless steel pipe is suitable for working media such as water, steam, hydrogen, and sulfur-containing oil products. If used for water vapor, its maximum working temperature is 650℃; when used for working media such as sulfur-containing oil products, it has good resistance to high-temperature sulfur corrosion and is often used in high-temperature sulfur corrosion conditions of 288~550℃.
