Details of common 3pe polyethylene-coated anti-corrosion steel pipes

3pe three-layer polyethylene coated anti-corrosion steel pipe processing process:

1. Sandblast and remove rust on the outer surface of the steel pipe, and then roll it into the platform.

2. Send the steel pipe to the medium-frequency heating machine for heating through the conveyor roller. The heated steel pipe allows the epoxy powder to be better dissolved on its surface.

3. After spraying, the steel pipe is wrapped with a rolling adhesive layer and a polyethylene layer in front of the extruder, and then driven into the self-spraying system for cooling. After cooling and solidification, the port is beveled to leave a reserved port for easy welding.

The parent materials of 3pe anti-corrosion steel pipes include seamless steel pipes, spiral steel pipes, and straight seam steel pipes. The three-layer polyethylene anti-corrosion coating has good corrosion resistance, water permeability resistance, and mechanical properties, and is widely used in the oil pipeline industry. The quality of the anti-corrosion layer of 3pe anti-corrosion steel pipes is very important to the life of buried pipelines. Some are buried underground for decades without corrosion, and some leak in a few years because of the use of different external anti-corrosion layers.

3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe refers to a 3-layer structural polyethylene coating (MAPEC) external anti-corrosion steel pipe, which is a commonly used anti-corrosion pipeline in China. Other anti-corrosion methods include IPN8710, FBE epoxy powder, epoxy coal tar, etc. It generally refers to the anti-corrosion of the outer wall of the steel pipe.

3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe coating is also known as (three-layer polyethylene anti-corrosion coating), which is a new anti-corrosion steel pipe coating produced by cleverly combining the European 2PE anti-corrosion layer and the widely used epoxy powder anti-corrosion steel pipe coating (FBE) in North America.

The coating of 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe is the epoxy powder anti-corrosion coating that contacts the bottom layer and the steel pipe surface, and the middle layer is a copolymer adhesive with branched structure functional groups. The surface layer is a high-density polyethylene anti-corrosion coating.

3pe anti-corrosion coating combines the high impermeability and high mechanical properties of epoxy resin and polyethylene materials. It is a pipeline anti-corrosion coating with good use effect and is therefore used in many projects.
