How to prevent spiral steel pipes from being damaged during transportation

1. Fixed-length spiral steel pipes do not need to be bundled.

2. If the ends of the spiral steel pipe are threaded, they should be protected by thread protectors. Apply lubricating oil or rust inhibitor on the threads. If the ends of the spiral steel pipe are broken, pipe mouth protectors can be added to both ends as required.

3. The packaging of spiral steel pipes should be able to avoid loosening and damage during normal loading and unloading, transportation, and storage.

4. If the customer requires that the spiral steel pipe cannot be damaged by bumps on the surface, you can consider using protective devices between the spiral steel pipes. Protective devices can be made of rubber, straw rope, fiber cloth, plastic, pipe caps, etc.

5. Thin-walled spiral steel pipes can be protected by internal support or external frame protection due to their thick walls. The materials of the bracket and outer frame are made of steel which is consistent with the material of the spiral steel pipe.

6. If the purchaser has special requirements for the packaging materials and packaging methods of the spiral steel pipe, it should be indicated in the contract; if not indicated, the packaging materials and packaging methods are optional for the supplier.

7. Packaging materials should comply with relevant regulations. If packaging materials are not required, they should be for the intended purpose of avoiding waste and environmental pollution.

8. The state stipulates that spiral steel pipes are in bulk. If the customer requires bundling, it can be considered appropriate, but the diameter must be between 159MM and 500MM. The bundled materials are packed and fastened with steel belts. Each strand should be twisted into at least two strands, and the increase should be appropriate according to the outer diameter and weight of the spiral steel pipe to prevent looseness.

9. When the spiral steel pipe is loaded into a container, the container should be covered with soft moisture-proof devices such as textile cloth and straw mats. To prevent the textile spiral steel pipe from being scattered in the container, protective brackets can be welded during bundling or on the outside of the spiral steel pipe.
