How to distinguish three-way pipe fittings in pipes

According to the pipe diameter classification, the same diameter tee: the main pipe and the branch pipe have the same diameter, and the different diameter tee: the branch pipe diameter is smaller than the main pipe diameter.

Butt-welded tee is classified according to the butt connection form: it is the tee pipe fitting that is welded after the butt joint with the connecting pipe.

Socket type tee: it is a tee fitting that is welded or welded after inserting the connecting pipe into each end of the tee.

Card sleeve types tee: It is a three-way pipe fitting with a card sleeve joint at each end, and the pipe fitting is inserted and then tightened.

Threaded tee: a tee fitting that connects pipes in a threaded manner.

According to the material classification, it can be divided into stainless steel tee, carbon steel tee, copper tee, PVC tee, ductile iron tee, etc.

According to the branch pipe type classification, the positive tee is the tee fitting of the vertical main pipe of the branch pipe. Inclined tee: it is a tee fitting with a certain angle between the branch pipe and the main pipe.

 

The hydraulic bulging of the tee is a forming process in which the branch pipe is expanded by the axial compensation for the metal material. The process is to use a special hydraulic press to inject liquid into the tube blank with the same diameter as the tee, and to squeeze the tube blank through the synchronous centering movement of the two horizontal side cylinders of the hydraulic press. The volume of the tube blanked to become smaller after being squeezed, and the inside of the tube blanks The pressure in the liquid rises as the volume of the tube becomes smaller. When the pressure required for the expansion of the three-way branch tube is reached, the metal material flows along the inner cavity of the mold under the dual action of the side cylinder and the liquid pressure in the tube blank to expand the branch tube. The hydraulic bulging process of the tee can be formed at one time, and the production efficiency is high; the wall thickness of the main pipe and the shoulder of the tee are increased. Due to the large tonnage of equipment required for the hydraulic bulging process of seamless tees, it is currently mainly used for the manufacture of standard wall thickness tees less than DN400 in China. The applicable forming materials are low-carbon steel, low-alloy steel, and stainless steel with relatively low cold work hardening tendency, including some non-ferrous metal materials, such as copper, aluminum, and titanium.
