The function of hot-rolled seamless steel pipe process is to reduce and extend the hollow capillary after perforation, make its wall thickness close to or equal to the thermal size of the finished product, eliminate the uneven longitudinal wall thickness, improve the internal and external surface quality of the raw pipe, and control the outer diameter and roundness of the raw pipe.



Hot rolled seamless steel pipe is rolled above the recrystallization temperature. Hot rolled seamless steel pipe is divided into general structural steel pipe, low and medium pressure boiler steel pipe, high pressure boiler steel pipe, alloy steel pipe, stainless steel pipe, petroleum cracking pipe, geological steel pipe and other steel pipes.



Advantages and disadvantages of hot rolled seamless steel pipe


Advantages: coarse grains become fine grains under the influence of pressure, which changes the mechanical properties; As cast microstructure is loose, pores and bubbles are compacted after hot rolling, and the density increases; Hot rolling lengthens the grain and forms fibrous structure.


Disadvantages: delamination will occur in hot rolling, which can weaken the performance of steel along the thickness direction; It is difficult to control the thickness of hot rolled products in the processing process, which is also a problem difficult for many manufacturers to solve.
